We’re really not sure how to feel about this one being a world title fight, which came about when Oleksandr Usyk was stripped of the IBF world title because he chose to fight the rematch with Tyson Fury, rather than his mandatory challenger, Daniel Dubois. Fury of course knows all too well about being stripped of titles himself.
Dubois was awarded the world title AFTER (though not immediately after) his IBF world title eliminator against Filip Hrgovic, because Usyk wasn’t able to defend the belt. Dubois had an impressive win that night which followed his late stoppage of Jarrell Miller. Those two wins got him back on track to the top after his defeat against Usyk.
Anthony Joshua is also back on a very good run of wins, beating Jermain Franklin, Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou, although none of those wins are as impressive as Dubois stopping Hrgovic, who was a massively avoided fighter due to the respect everyone had for his ability.
Either way, it’s sure to be another explosive night of boxing, at Wembley Stadium, with two British heavyweights with dynamite in their fists.
Fight Winner Market
(Please note all all odds shown are correct at time of publishing)
Anthony Joshua 2/7 (BetFred)
Daniel Dubois 3/1 (Coral)
Draw 22/1 (Ladbrokes)
We feel the bookies have priced this one up about right. We believe AJ gets the win, too, but there’s really no value in this market, unless of course you fancy Dubois or the draw…
But we firmly believe AJ will put in a top class performance on Saturday night. Then we also think, no matter what happens in Usyk v Fury 2, the next fight will finally be AJ v Fury, because the British public will lap it up no matter what happens in that second Usyk-Fury fight.

There are some extremely juicy odds for Dubois to win by stoppage, so if you believe AJ has a glass jaw, or if you think he quit under pressure against Andy Ruiz, then get stuck into those. We are going to go for a few small bets on AJ to win via stoppage in rounds 8, 9 and 10 as we feel they offer good value.
We are also going to go for one small cover bet on Dubois to win in round 10. It’s good odds and AJ could have tired by that point, potentially leaving himself open. If that happens, Dubois could pounce. It’s a massive outsider for a reason and we are only using 1 point on it for that very good reason.
Round Group Betting (Selected)
Joshua Round 7-12 6/4 (Coral)
Joshua 7-9 3/1 (Ladbrokes)
Joshua 9-12 10/3 (Coral)
We feel the stoppage will come in the second half of the fight. Where is hard to predict so the market we really fancy is rounds 7-12 at 6/4 with Coral. If you think you can narrow it down to three rounds then go for 7-9 or 9-12, but we are playing it safer and going for the AJ stoppage in rounds 7-12.
Anthony Joshua by KO TKO or Disqualification 4/9 (Ladbrokes) – 10 points (But try to shop around for a better price on the day)
