Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 Betting Preview & Tips
Who will win this big rematch between Eubank Jr and Conor Benn? …Read More
The title of this fight is “Unfinished Business” and it seems the rivalry between the Benns and Eubanks will always be unfinished. Their fathers, of course, had a massively famous rivalry and two fights themselves. There really should have been a third one. Chris Eubank Sr won the first one via stoppage, and the second one was contoversially scored a draw, despite most – including the author of this article – believing Nigel Benn had done enough to get the victory that time round.
Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn was sold as Eubank v Benn 3, so this is either Chris Eubank Jr v Conor Benn 2, or Eubank v Benn 4, whichever way you look at it. Eubank Jr won that fight via a unanimous points decision, of course, back in April of this year.
There was much specualtion before that fight about Eubank Sr and whether he would even be at that fight, with father and son having fallen out and not even spoken for several years. Ever the showman, Eubank Sr turned up on the night, which must have been a huge psychological boost for Eubank Jr.
What’s for certain though, is that there is more to this bout than the chance to move on to world title fights on the line, there is family pride and much more. So, can the Benns finally get that victory over the Eubanks?
The first fight – just like the two fiights between their fathers – was an absolute classic, and we can hope for more of the same again.

Well, much as we would love to see Benn defeat Ebank Jr this time round, the fact is that stats speak for themselves: In boxing, over 80% of rematches are won by the person who won the original fight. That points to the fact that the original result is usually correct; the best fighter wins both times. It does mean that around 20% of the time the loser from the first fight wins, though, or at least gets the draw, as Nigel Benn did in his rematch with Eubank Jr.
We’d love to see Conor make the adjustments to do just that, and our heart tells us he can. However, our head tell us that Eubank will be too big, have too long a range for Benn and too much experience. There is no doubt that Benn will make it a hard night’s work once again for Eubank, but we do think that Eubank will probably be victorious once again.
Method of Victory
Chris Eubank Jr by KO TKO or Disqualification 11/5 (Bet365)
Chris Eubank Jr by Decision or Technical Decision 12/5 (Bet365)
Conor Benn by KO TKO or Disqualification 10/3 (Coral)
Conor Benn by Decision or Technical Decision 15/4 (Bet365)
Both boxers unleashed some absolute bombs on each other last time and just couldn’t get the other one out of there. It’s entirely possible that either of them could do it this time, of course, but we feel the safest – and most likeliest – outcome is a points victory for either fighter. Eubank Jr at 12/5 with Bet365 is very good odds for what believe will be the most probable result.
Round Group Betting (Selected)
If you fancy the stoppage you can of course go with one of them, or you can choose a specific round, which is obviously difficult to predict. To give yourself a larger chance of winning, then “Round Group Betting” is a good alternative. If this does end in a stoppage, we think it will be later on, so we’d advise doing any of Eubank to win in any of the 7-12 rouunds selections. We aren’t making an official tip here as we believe Eubank will win on points, but if we were to tip anything, it would be Eubank stoppage 9-12, which is 13/2 with Ladbrokes.
